Trails

Arapuke Forest Park is owned by PNCC with trail development managed by the Manawatū Mountain Bike Club

Miss Fortune

Miss Fortune was built by a group of kid volunteers for the school event in 2024.

Rocky

Fun downhill tech trail with the odd wee climb to keep you on your toes. Some cool trail features scattered throughout, most of which are indeed a bit Rocky.

Te Ara Kaikohi

Grade 3 scenic trail ridden to embrace the environment following the northeast boundary of the park. Te Ara Kaikohi is the path that collects. With lots of future trails planned which it will collect.

Chili Beans

This is a challenging, grade 4 climb offering a harder option to jack in the beanstalk.

Kahu

Named after the Swamp Harrier (Kahu) with whom we share the park, This trail is a good Grade 4. It is tight and twisty hand cut single track but good riders will maintain great flow all the way down. A trail that rewards good pump and cornering technique.

Karearea

Named after the NZ falcons with whom we share the park, This trail is a good honest Grade 3. It is tight and twisty hand cut single track but good riders will maintain great flow all the way down.

Yeah Nah

Thin single track following the Eastern Block Road down to join up to Check Point Charlie. Few small bits to get some air and a few logs to dodge along the way.

Riff Raff

Riff Raff is ideal for kids and beginner riders with nice berms and a gentle gradient.

About Time

A predominantly downhill flowing trail with lots of berms and a smooth surface that's fun for all the family.

Billy Goat

A steep and technical uphill that winds up the valley below Rocky.

Jack & the Beanstalk

Jack and the Beanstalk is a meandering, well-graded uphill trail that offers great views back down Kahuterawa valley.

Mr. Twister

Mr. Twister was edited and extended by Empire of Dirt and also Velstand Trails in 2019. It is a wide open Grade 3 flow trail.
